Crux Rescue can provide Swiftwater and Technical Rescue training courses to fire service professionals in Kelso, Washington. Cowlitz County Search & Rescue
Cowlitz County Search & Rescue, (CCSR) is an all volunteer, non-profit, tax-exempt organization working in partnership with the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office. CCSR volunteers donate their time and money to develop the skills necessary to be well trained, well equipped, and well prepared.
In a nut shell, CCSR serves their community by locating, accessing, stabilizing and transporting the lost and the injured. In that effort, they reduce the suffering of family members whose loved ones are lost or missing and they educate the public in their concerted effort to save lives.
Cowlitz County Search and Rescue (CCSAR) works in partnership with the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and the citizens of its community and state to provide assistance to persons in distress and in urgent situations. We search for people in trouble in a wide variety of terrains from mountainous areas, to river banks, to urban locales. We search in the heat of summer and on snowy winter nights. We educate children, hikers and backcountry enthusiasts in safe activities, so they will avoid danger that result in the need for rescue.
CCSAR is an all volunteer non-profit organization, based in Cowlitz County, Washington. We are available, upon request to assist Cowlitz and any other county or official agency responsible for search and rescue activities in our region.
CCSAR serves an area that takes in the wilderness and urban settings throughout Cowlitz County and the neighboring communities.
