Basic Water First Responder – Class
This class is perfect for recreational boaters wanting to learn the basics of water rescue. We also teach this class in a format designed for those support personnel in professional emergency services whose deployment includes rescue calls in the still water environments of canals, ponds and lakes.
This course is designed to provide students with a theoretical understanding and a practical knowledge of the basics of swiftwater rescue. This class includes one day of classroom instruction and one day of practical field exercise. Students are trained in a wide variety of rescue skills including hazard recognition and equipment use, as well as basic shore and boat-based rescue techniques.
