Description

This is a Crux Rescue Flex Option Course: Students can select to take only the 3-Day, Swiftwater Rescue Technician SRT 1 Class (first three days of instruction) or combine that with the 3-Day Swiftwater Rescue Technician Advanced SRT A Class (all six days of instruction).

Class Description: The Swiftwater Rescue Technician SRT 1 class is a three-day course that provides the minimum training recommended for those who work alongside, in, or on moving water.

Flex Option 2: COMBO – Swiftwater Rescue Technician Level 1 Class + Swiftwater Rescue Technician Advanced Class (SRT 1 + SRT A)

Class Description: This class is a combination of SRT 1 & SRT A training.
SRT 1 – The Swiftwater Rescue Technician Level 1 (SRT 1) portion of this course, over the first three days of the 6-Day course, provides a day of detailed instruction covering hydrology and the hazards associated with moving water, and two days spent in moving water, learning skills including shallow water crossings, self-rescue, and effective techniques for the rescue of others.
SRT A – The Swiftwater Rescue Technician Advanced (SRT A) portion of this course, over the last three days of the 6-Day course, integrates the skills learned in SRT 1 and Rope Rescue Technician, or other NFPA 1006/2500 rope courses, and it expands the expertise of those who have taken SRT I into the realm of extreme whitewater situations, with the emphasis on victim rescue and night operations.
